Hmmm~I guess I’ll stick my neck out & ask if I’m the only one who thinks Somehow Sorry sounds so much like The Beatles; specifically George Harrison? I had to go back to see the name of the artist to make sure I hadn’t missed something. And, I pride myself on my hearing? ~ Sad, isn’t it! lol♥
Dear Gr8,
You are correct. it’s the back beat, the harmonies and the timing, to a degree. From the MySpace site is the following-
“Somehow Sorry has a certain chemistry that you don’t often see these days. Harmonic and melodious. They create a dark powerful sound. The band hails from New York and consists of four uniques individuals. Raine and John McCarthy form the front. This husband and wife team compliment each other vocally while Jim Bosko and Paul Maugeri create a driving back beat that causes you to pause and listen. Each of the band members have influences, ranging from yesterdays greats to the cutting edge acts of today. Somehow Sorry is an independent Band with a catchy sound. They are here now with their self titled debut album. Find it at somehowsorry.com, napster.com, emusic.com, anywhere you download music.”
Your ears are fine.

Funny you should mention Raine. That was the first thought; then I leaned toward George Harrison’s vocals. I remember several years back seeing something about Raine performing as The Beatles; even physically resembling the Fab Four. I was impressed; as I am with Somehow Sorry. Thanx for the come-back. I guess my ears are still working just fine.
Thank you Uncle Shag for playing Too Late Now and for being so supportive of independent artists. You are awesome!!
