ROCKOLLECTIONS: PSYCHOTHERAPY LEFTOVERS PT.2 SERIES FINALE

The Psychotherapy series ends with another Breakdown, then some final words from a Therapist that Love is a minefield.
No doubt about it, Love has made all of us a bit Crazy at some point in our lives.
So I decided to take the Crazy route.
And looking at all the choices I had for Crazy songs, I realized they could be a musical Genre of their own!
Several shows could be done on that Theme alone.
So it has been filed away in my memory for the future.
I hope you enjoy the ones I did pick for this Finale.
Those of you who know me, know that the opening and closing songs mean a great deal to me- one or the other is what I usually think of first in a Series.
This time there was really only one choice to end this whole thing with.
See if you agree with me!
I thank all of you who came along for the entire Psychotherapy Series, or just a part of it- it was done with a deep respect for those who need Therapy.
And I wish you all nothing but good health- Mental and Physical!
Mike

I haven’t listened to the show yet, but before I do, I thought I’d offer up some guesses for what I think may be on the show. Then I’ll listen shortly and see if I got any right.
1. 19th Nervous Breakdown (Rolling Stones) or possibly Breakdown (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)
2. Love Is A Battlefield (Pat Benatar)
3. Crazy (Patsy Cline) wrong genre, I know, but a killer song none the less.
4. Go Insane (Fleetwood Mac)
5. I’m Going Slightly Mad (Queen)
6. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pink Floyd)
Wow!! What a CRAZY show and series. And Mike, I mean that in the most complimentary way. I see that I only guessed right on 2 of the songs, but at least I got another band correct as well, just the wrong song (Queen’s Crazy Little Thing Called Love).
This show had a fantastic playlist, top to bottom. The only song I was not familiar with was “Go It Alone”, but I really liked the song (especially the lyrics and the song’s theme, although I’m very happily married and glad of it) and I was very surprised to hear that it’s a current song. Sounded older to me.
As I said, the Patsy Cline song is killer, but not my favorite by Patsy. That would be “Walking After Midnight”.
The two “Crazy Love” titles were outstanding. Van Morrison sings that so well, and I love “Moondance” and “Into The Mystic” as well. The Poco song was featured a few weeks back on Classic Rock Bottom by Scott in Scott’s Hidden Treasures #5. That is a beautiful song.
Great, great job with this show and both psychotherapy series Mike. Can’t wait to see what the next series subject is.
P.S. That comic is great. Reminds me of The Office episode about casual Friday, where Meridith doesn’t wear any underwear. Really funny.
Hey Mike! This show was perfect for my week. It’s gonna continue on the ‘crazy’ level for a few more days.
Have a great weekend♥
Dear Gr8ful,
I know exactly what you mean.
Been there…AM there…myself, lol!
Have a great weekend while dealing with it,
Mike
Dear RJ,
You did GREAT!
Considering all the world’s choices I had, you hit 2 on the nose and got another with a group!
I forgot about Petty’s Breakdown.
But I always have to deal with those time constraints anyway.
Nice job, we are in sync, lol!
Thanks for listening and writing,
Mike
Fun show, Mike. Thanks for putting Greg Kitchels’ “Go It Alone” in there. And when I heard the first song, I realized I was remiss in not letting your know about ALL WOOD AND STONES from John Batdorf and James Lee Stanley (http://www.allwoodandstones.com) where “19th Nervous Breakdown” and 10 other classic Stones tracks are not just covered but recreated acoustically as if they were originated by Crosby Stills and Nash.
I also wanted to comment on the first “Crazy Love” - it’s on the soundtrack of one of my favorite movies, “Phenomenon” (which is about a whole nuther kind of crazy).
I loved your mention of a “Crazy Little Thing Called Love by a crazy little band named Queen”.
And ending with Patsy Cline was awesome. That song is timeless.
Thanks, again, for the shout-out.
If you’re interested in All Wood And Stones, send me an email with an address reminder and I’ll have to sent to you.
Dear MonHen,
It fit in, and led me into those Crazy songs.
ALL WOOD AND STONES sounds very interesting.
Oh yeah, the John Travolta movie, right?
I will send you a reminder.
Thank you for the music, and for writing,
Mike
