ROCKOLLECTIONS: FINDING THE LOST PLANET AIRMEN PT.2 END

First off, a hearty welcome to WLSO.FM to Mike Andrade. His show is a lot like mine…but very different, lol!
In truth, I have known him since before his first ever show, and what he does is excellent- plus I have always liked New England.
We both share an anti-radio love for radio!
Give him a break and a listen, as he is doing some real bright things with music and the other things he weaves in on his Rock & Roll 360.
Getting on to Part Two of the Commander, we open with a song and an observation that there is a whole group of people (older mostly) who would have no knowledge of the significance of the title “(Down To) Seeds & Stems Again”.
Like say, my Mom, lol!
It is about a guy having one helluva bad day!
Next, Cody & The Airmen rock up a very old song, one that goes back to the generation I just mentioned, and even further. Followed by Truck Drivin’ Man. And by the way, the Commander is still touring and releasing records.
Then we get joyously politically incorrect, as I LOVE to do, with Smoke Smoke Smoke (That Cigarette).
And I am collecting songs for a future show where the singer mentions his own name in them. This is one.
We leave Cody with a number called Too Much Fun.
And the Mike Pell Moment Of Clarity- “Is that POSSIBLE, too much fun? Nah!”
Finally, when I originally did this show, the final episodes of the Sopranos were finally starting to air- so a nod to that phenomenon with a song about a hit man.
I wanted to also play one about a hit woman too- but, alas, no time for it.
Remind me, and I’ll do it sometime. And it is by the unlikely Graham Nash!
Hoping you enjoy this one, even with just seeds and stems.
Mike

Time keeps on slippin’
Into the future……
I listened twice last night, but I’m just now getting around to writing.
Time is NOT on my side, at least not lately.
Another great one….. and the show was good, too!
